ADAA - the child achievers/ success stories

 

Sunny

Son of a daily wage labourer, sunny was born with missing arm and leg. In a remote village, he was not able to attend school. ADAA has been sponsoring his education and other needs for eight years now. He has also been sponsored and supported in his medical needs, rehab and disability aides. He is now in 8th Grade and has stood first every year scoring over 98% marks. He wants to become a scientist one day.

 She lost her mother when she was four and had a younger brother who is a child with special needs. Her father is a destitute alcoholic. She had no scope of education. Now she has been sponsored for over five years. She is in 5th grade scoring over 85% marks and standing first in her class.

 
 

Geeta

Born in a remote village and with acute polio in both legs, she couldn't walk. Initially her mother used to carry her to school but then she became bigger and had to drop out. Now after eight years of sponsorship, support and with the help of disability aides, she has completed her graduation and taken up a job as a teacher in her village school.
